Sunday Set List July 31, 2011

Hey Everybody,

   Here is the set list for this Sunday. We are going to try adding on a tag to the end of "You Are". The tag is a bridge from another song and I have linked to that song below.  Eventually I would like for us to do the whole song but after I talked with Clint today he mentioned that this was a song the youth sang at camp and this part of it was very powerful. I have attached the chart for The Stand and I will get out a chart tomorrow that has both You Are and The Stand combined with a transition that will link the two songs. We will not play The Stand in record key, we are taking it down a step and playing it in G. I just wanted to get this out to you now so you could go ahead and check it out. The transition is not going to be anything difficult, I will get that out early tomorrow. When you listen for the bridge on "The Stand" look for the following lyrics:

Next Tuesday Nights Practice - July 26th

Hey Hey,

     Here is the information for next Tuesday night practice. We will going over a really great song called "Desert Song" by Hillsong. Tonia is going to be taking the lead on this one. We are going to be playing it a step lower than the recording, they play it in D we will play it in C. I have attached the link to the mp3 below and the chart as well. I want you to check out the video I posted down at the bottom as well. After watching it I started to gain more perspective about the song itself and just how powerful this song could be for the people of our church.

    Desert Song will be what we do one of the hours during practice and then as KP said in his email earlier we will also be reviewing "Hosanna". I have attached the updated Hosanna chart, since the one we had this past Sunday was not 100% accurate. Have a good one and if you need anything please let me know.

Hey guys,

Freakin awesome job yesterday!! It really was an amazing time of worship!!

I want us all to get into the habit of listening to the recording of the worship set from the previous Sunday. I will do my best to have this posted by the Monday following each week.

The main reason for doing this is to make us into better musicians, vocalists, and worshipers. So take some time to listen to your parts, and hopefully it will give us all some insight into what we can do to become an even tighter worship team.

Hey Everybody,

   Here is the line up for this Sunday. The major change that is happening is a key change for Hosanna. We have taken the key to D. It used to be played in E but is now in D. Make sure you have the D version for practice. I have linked to that version below and the mp3 (mp3 not in the same key as we will play it in). I have also put an updated chart of In You below, it has all of the changes to the arrangements that we made on Tuesday night. If you need anything please let me know and I will get it to you ASAP. Tuesday Night Practice July 12th

Hey Everybody,

   I just wanted to get the song we will playing for next Tuesday nights practice out to everybody, it's a song by Mercy Me called "In You". This is a fairly straightforward and easy to pick up song, so it shouldn't take us long to get it. I am changing up the arrangement a little bit so we will not play it exactly like it is on the recording. The song key will match the recording, but the dynamics is where is will stray a little from the original. I have attached a link to the mp3 and the chart. Hey,

   Great job today or Sunday depending on when you are reading this!! Everybody really did an outstanding job and more than that I really felt like we all just focused on worship. It was awesome to do that with each and everyone of you. I am excited to see us bring that same passion back to the platform this coming Sunday.
